Business Highlights

M/V Bay Breeze handles tours & sightseeing cruises, sunset & booze cruises, steamed Blue Crab cruises, and special events ranging from a day out with the family to corporate outings, wedding rehearsals, wine down Wednesday's and much more. We specialize in good atmosphere, good people, and good times! 

Bay Breeze is a passenger cruise vessel located in Chesapeake City, MD. Our boat cruises along the C&D Canal for 2 hour cruises. Specifically designed for different types of parties, Bay Breeze, is host to several corporate, non-profit, church/senior groups, and local organizations events. Along our destination you will be able to experience the true outdoors feeling of the Upper Bay. From wildlife to yachts and commercial vessels, there is always something to see. It is a good idea to bring a camera with you because you don't want to miss out on a memorable experience with us on the Bay Breeze. We have an established record of excellent reviews from our guests over the years with a heavy focus on guest satisfaction.

Goals & Objectives

Our goals are to provide a quality boat ride and stress free atmosphere so that our guests can take in relaxation and get away from life for a couple of hours. In the complicated world we live in having a peaceful boat tour allows our guests the freedom to relax their mind, body, and soul while taking in local landmarks, commercial shipping traffic, recreational boaters, and some of the Chesapeake Bay's amazing wildlife. The Breeze Lines fleet plans to grow and offer tours in multiple tributaries along the Maryland waterways and continuing to provide outstanding levels of      5-Star service to our guests.

Management Biographies

Tom Connell, "The Chief Cork & Bottle Washer"

Which is his official title, grew up in the Chesapeake City area. He worked as a commercial fisherman on the C&D Canal throughout high school. Catching mainly rockfish, Tom supplied Schaefer's Marine Store with filets for years. After graduating high school, he spent a brief time with Dann Towning Marine soon after spending the next fifteen years on the Texaco Tampa. The Texaco Tampa was an 80,000 barrel oil barge which spent her time eighty miles offshore traveling from Maine to the Gulf. After Chevron bought Texaco, Tom's career led him to MSRC (Marine Spill Response Corp), an oil spill clean up company. During his tenure of 16 years he maintain the site supervisor position. All the while, from 1993 to 2009, he and his son, Steven Connell, owned a pile driving business, involving the construction of docks, bulkheads, and boat lifts. He enjoys being on the water and cold beer! (Imagine that)

Steven Connell, "Chief Director of the Cruise and Booze"

After graduating at Goldey Beacom College in Wilmington, DE (BS in Finance Management 2006) (BS in Accounting 2011) Steven Connell worked in the finance and accounting industry for several years. Prior to school, both Tom & Steven Connell owned and operated Green Point Marine Construction Inc. for 15 years which handled dock, bulkhead, and boat lift construction throughout the Upper Chesapeake Bay region. In addition, Steven actively managed in the earlier stages of e-commerce a 75,000+ marine/RV product website for the construction company. In 2014, he re-joined up with his father to establish M/V Bay Breeze. After several years involved in the corporate setting, Steven felt the need to make his new office on board the cruise boat. His passion is to be able to have an established, family-owned business built from the ground up.
